ROTARY MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR, MEHAMDABAD - 22nd AUGUST
Kudos to Rotary Club of Mehamdabad - a small club in infancy, who hosted the Intercity Meet very well. Hotel Blue Berry at Nadiad was comfortable and cozy place where the Seminar was held. Total number of registrants was about 150. Baroda clubs were represented badly by only 5 persons from Baroda - 3 from RCBM and 2 from RC JW.
Chief Guest Aloke Billore showed the statistics well and was full of new ideas.
DG Devang was oozing with enthusiasm and steered the Intercity Meet in two roles - (1) As DG and (2) As acting Chairman, as Chairman- Membership PDG Dr. Nilax Mufti could not remain present.
AG Pinky Patel was recognized by Governor.
I performed as Moderator for the debate (EREY for Membership - Yes or No). Unfortunately, Rotarians could not produce the fireworks, which was expected din a debate but meaningful suggestions were made by all the participants. Overall it was a good experience. To be honest, if I tell you my impressions about our club's performance then it could be said without hesitation in a Gujarati Proverb - "Ekda Wagarna Minda Nakama." In other words, when President and Secretary are not there, no one wants to come!?
Let me remind you that on 28th / 29th we have Atmanirbhar Camp at Mehamdabad, hosted by RC Mehamdabad. DO NOT FORGET TO ATTEND THAT.
