METRO MUSING 6 (10-11)

Dear Friends,
I am back after the long family vacation that we enjoyed in Dubai and South Africa. You wouldn't believe of the adventures we had like Zip Lining, Shark Cage Diving and Sapan & Neil did the world's highest Bungy Jump (216 metres), Bloukrans. I missed you all when we saw the lions pride in close vicinity, allowing us to take pictures. I am just uploading one picture to see if you are interested in seeing more of the wild life pictures. I would then upload some more pictures.

Thanks to President Premal and Secretary Mitesh for sending information through SMSs and emails. Here is the upate of the Thalasemia Awareness Camp (Courtesy President Premal Smart)

On 18th we have done Thalassemia Awareness Camp at Girls SNDT Collage, O.P. Road, Baroda. Totally 80 girls participated and on the same day we have done 120 registration for the Thalasemia Testing.

On 20th Sunday, we had Thalassemia Screening program and Blood Donation Camp with Red Cross Society and BSW & MSW students (Volunteers). The camp was a grand success and we have screened 215 Girls for the Thalassemia test. Total Blood collection was 18 bottles, as almost 50% of the girls were underweight & low in Hemoglobin count, may be due to zero size fever.

The collage principal Dr. Pradeep Joshi and all the teachers are very enthusiastic and co-operative. We are talking to them for starting the Girls Rotaract in their collage.
